Tea dances are held the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Sunday of each month from 2-5 pm at the Wrainbow Ballroom in downtown Bloomington.
These dances are a great time to practice your skills and see what others are doing. Most dances are represented: waltz, foxtrot, rumba, swing, polka, cha cha, Viennese waltz, tango, quick step, west coast swing, mambo, night club two-step and samba to name just a few. Come and enjoy the fun!
The dance hosted on the 3rd Sunday of the month tends to be weighted more toward Night Club Two-Step, West Coast Swing and Salsa. There will still be a mix of other, more traditional ballroom dances, but this will provide additional opportunities to practice those particular dances.
Dances are not limited only to Wrainbow students—everyone is welcome at Tea Dances. The cost is $5 per person. Refreshments are provided.
Tea Dance Modification: The Tea Dance on Sunday, February 13th, will be geared for dancers in Levels 1 and 2 and will concentrate on the beginning dances: Waltz, Foxtrot, Swing, Cha Cha, Rumba and Polka. Everyone is welcome to attend. The dance will be from 2-4 pm.
